First Glance [conner/open]

Connor raised an eyebrow at Zane as he placed an arm around his shoulders. But stayed quiet as he listened to his explanation of vampires and vampaneze. Connor didn't think it was necessary to accuse him of being close minded though, people with freaky abilities was one thing, but vampires and their slightly more bloodthirsty relatives was a little more to take in.

"But Vampaneze aren't all evil. Some just are who they are."

Connor shrugged. "Hey, I'm not one to judge," he said truthfully. Everyone did some not so pleasant stuff in their lives, who was he to say that vampneze was evil for draining a person of their blood... sure it sounded evil, but people had their reasons.

"So, vampires and vampaneze... anything I should know about before something tries to eat me?"

Zane clapped Connor on the back. "It's a good thing that you don't judge people!" He smiled and thought for a second. "Welll...things that might eat you...the Wolf-Man, and thats all I can think off the top of my head."

[Bijou Wilks]

Bijou wrinkled her nose, "Guy creeps me out. He's half animal all the time, all I ever hear from him is bits and pieces of thoughts. Not things anyone would repeat." It was true, the wolf's thoughts were nothing but animalistic instincts, only Bijou could hear them. She took another sip of her drink, placing it down in front of her. "I could show you around the cirque sometime if you'd like. Introduce you to Mister Tall." She bit her lip out of habit. It was a rather lame excuse, but it gave her a chance to see Conner again.

The wolf-man, Connor repeated to himself. Well of course, if there were vampires and vampaneze, why not a wolf man? And apparently he would try to eat him. Wonderful. He glanced over at Bijou as he mentioned the kinds of thoughts the wolf-man had and watched her for a long moment as he wondered what it must be like to be her. Other people's thoughts constantly in her head. It sounded noisy...

"I could show you around the cirque sometime if you'd like. Introduce you to Mister Tall."

Connor thought for a moment. He did want to see the cirque, and possibly talk to this Mr Tall to see if he knew anything about what might be happening with him. He sounded like he would know something. 'Mr Tall' was just that sort of name. Besides, he wouldn't mind seeing more of Bijou.

"Yeah, that'd be awesome."

Zane grinned when Connor said he wanted to check out the Cirque. "Douce!" He grabbed Bijou, smiled at Connor and left the restaurant, arm waving in an 'come on!' gesture.

Bijou growled when Zane pulled her out of her seat. "I'm not a rag doll, you know!" She hated being pulled on. But she still would like to show Conner around, it Cirque was a rather interesting place to go. It was full of different people who were all connected by the fact that they were different, and they were proud of it.

Connor looked slightly startled as Zane stood up and dragged Bijou to her feet. Oh... they were going now? Connor quickly finished off his fries and grabbed his half eaten burger as he dashed off to catch up with them. He felt suddenly nervous, yet excited. He felt his heart thumping and the shadows swaying pleasantly. He was way too happy for them to cause trouble for a while.
