Bijou leaned against the wall of the van she shared with her 'Vampaneze protector', she waved good bye as he sped off to go and hunt. Drake had made it very clear to her that she should be mindful of the area they were in, right by vampire mountain, and not leave the camp. She had rolled her eyes at him, she wasn't weak or a fool. But Drake had it his head that if she were ever to come across someone of the undead other than him that she would end up as one of them as well, or worse. Frankly, Bijou thought he was paranoid. The thoughts that rambled in her head-belonging to those of the Cirque- agreed with the Telepaths, they were fine with the location themselves. But some thought of it as the lesser of two evils, at least it wasn't the vampaneze that were so close. "Why is everyone so paranoid now a days. It's just vampires." She muttered under her breathe.

Altair just finished climbing down from vampire mountain. He was on his way to train on a few trees he'd taken a long enough break already. His mentor would have surely been upset if he saw him now. He could already hear the old man yapping telling him that he was lazy. It brought a smile to his face that he could still feel his presence even though he was gone. Altair sighed deeply but straightened up as he came upon the first tree. It was pretty thick which was perfect. He drew his katanas and swung them around to warm up.
He swung them for aw while until he felt he was loose enough. The last thing his mentor taught him was loose strokes and he was determined to perfect it. He made some loose slashes through the air and watched his form. Once he was confident he walked to the tree and examined it. This shouldn't be to hard. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes. He got into his stance and waited for his muscles to relax. When he felt the time was right he sliced through the air. He felt resistance but pushed through slowly. Hearing a loud thud he opened his eyes with a smile.
Perfect a clean cut right thorough the tree. He could hear some noise coming from not that far away. He heard that the cirque was close by but he never considered going until now. He perfected the loose slice so he could spare some time. He put his katanas into his back sheaths and jogged towards the noise. When he came upon the cirque he stared in awe. He looked around at all the freaks that were there. They were amazing all looking different with different traits. But he stopped and admired one beauty in particular. Mmmmm interesting.

Bijou was never much for being cooped up for long. Sure, the cirque had allot of people in it, but none that really caught her attention at the moment. She figured that since the night was young just about everybody would either be in their tents/vans for the night or sitting around the camp fire. Since she had a horrid fear of flames, the Telepath avoided that area for dear life. So she simply started making her way to the main entrance of the Cirque, when she caught onto either a vampire's or vampaneze's thought process. It was easy for Bijou to tell a human from a creature of the night, but not to determine which sect they were. The 'fuzzy' thoughts always gave them away, unlike humans, she could only pick up a word or two unless she had direct skin-to-skin contact. Bijou sometimes toyed with the thoughts of becoming a vampire. Living for ever would be rather nice, but she wondered what effect it would have on her telepathic abilities. So she never really told anyone of the thought. Bijou stopped right at the edge of the cluster of tents and vans, leaning against one of them. She watched with an amused smile as the vampire-she assumed by the lack of self pride in the air-openly gaped at the cirque. He must be young, Mr.Tall had said they stop here once every few years.

Altair watched as the beauty he was interested in looked his way. She was leaning on a van and she was smiling she had such a cute smile. He smiled as he looked her over. He could see her features perfectly even though he was a little to far for normal humans. She seemed amused by something so he was gonna find out what. It'd been a while since he'd even been in the company of a woman. Ever since the accident. Images of the attack flashed through his head and he remembered his girlfriend yelling his name. His smile quickly turned into a frown as he remembered the scene perfectly. He was lost in his own world for a minute as he was held captive by the flashback.
The last thing he remembered her doing was smiling before her body became lifeless. Altair was brought back to the present and he noticed he was still looking at the woman. He began hesitating maybe he needed to go back to the mountain. He felt his anger boil and rise and he clenched his fists. His sharp nails cut into his palms and the blood began to escape. Releasing his clutching he sighed as the cuts closed up. His frown stayed on his face and he was making up his mind to just leave.
Was he losing his personality. Was he more traumatized than he thought?

Bijou tilted her head, was he ok? The guy was a having a flash back, she knew that much. Thing was, she couldn't see much of it. It was like trying to watch a movie that you had for a few years and was so scratched up that it skipped minutes at a time. Within the time that he stood there frozen in his past Bijou took a few quick strides and was standing in front of him. Her fingers laced with his, preventing him from opening up new wounds. "Are you alright?" Bijou sighed, hearing the thoughts of those around her. Lord knows Drake was going to give her a lecture for 'consorting with the enemy'. One bad thing about Drake was that he grew up as a noble, and sometimes acted as though it was still the eighteenth century.

Altair was just about to turn and run but something stopped him. The flashback was like a broken record endless scenes played in his head. If he wasn't so shocked he probably would have fell to his knees and screamed his head off. But that resistance brought him back to the real world. It was soft warm as he gripped it he felt it was a hand. He began to lean into the inviting touch wanting to hold it closer but he snapped back fully and noticed the woman. He froze and pulled back. He looked into beautiful blue/grey eyes. "Beautiful."
Altair was pretty still in a daze and was slowly collecting his sanity again. It was embarrassing that he was so strong physically and recently mentally. He could watch someone die in his arms and be unmoved. But the simple thought of his dangerous past set him into a state of shock. Even so the woman in front of him brought him back so peacefully he was enthralled by just being in her presence. He felt something about her before but this was just amazing. Altair was a flirt sure and yeah he loved all women but there was somethings that stood out about certain women.
This woman in particular was special. At least in his eyes she was he was surprised that she wasn't lying dead in his arms. He usually lashed out on the nearest thing when he snapped back into reality. Apparently his body couldn't keep up with his mind moving from the past to the present so quickly. Or at least that's what one of the vampires at the mountain told him. He was suppose to run but he didn't get away in enough time. This woman was intriguing.

The look on Bijou's face was priceless, it was a mix between shock and happiness. She couldn't help but giggle a little bit at his comment. With the simple fact that they were holding hands his usually static-filled thoughts became crystal clear. Oracle grinned, "Uh, thanks for not lashing out at me?" She gave his hands a little squeeze, she was never quite good with conversation. "I'm Bijou. Your from vampire mountain, right?" Sure, the telepath could have just searched through his mind, but she found that rude. It was one of the reasons she liked vampires company, their blurred thoughts kept the teenager guessing.

Altair smiled as she made a cute giggle. Such a small action could make him smile he was still partially human somewhere inside. Though it made it hard to get to that through his hardened vampire shell. He looked into the eyes deeply this woman had no trouble getting there which was stunning. It took his mentor a few months to get there after the shock of losing everything and then being changed shut him into a vault. Or at least his emotions were like they were locked in a vault but Bijou had no trouble reaching her hand through that locked vault and bringing his emotions to the surface.
Altair's smile faltered for a sec. His hnd lost its grip for a second. But he could feel the warmth she held starting to waver. This caused him to grab her hand once again like his life depended on it. He couldn't go back so soon not yet. But how did she know that he could have lashed out on her. How did she even know that he was in such a state of depression that it barely showed on the outside. It was like she could read his mind and she found all the ways to comfort him.
Altair's smile returned as she introduced herself. He couldn't help but love her name so unique. "Bijou... such a lovely name little flower. A beautiful name to go with a beautiful woman. A perfect combination. I'm Altair Silvera and as you guessed I'm a vampire. And I do live on vampire mountain just moved there a few weeks ago." She was interesting all around and he was beginning to flirt. He hadn't been flirting with anybody since the incident.

Bijou's cheeks turned a shade of pink at his comment, not used to the compliment. "Thank you." She smiled at him, curious. "So what brings you to the Cirque?" Most people tended to get a little freaked out when they were around a telepath, but Altair seemed fine with it. It was a rather nice change of pace for the girl, not having to put up with people's unruly thoughts of her when she was simply saying hello. Bijou always wondered what it was like at Vampire mountain. It seemed so upside down really, when everyone is settling in for the night they are just beginning their 'day'. She always wanted to go there, ever since she heard about last spring.

Altair's smile grew wider as she blushed at his comment. Such easy girl to be around it felt like he could unwind a little. Altair looked into the woman's eyes once again just because he liked looking into them. He could see so much peace in her lovely eyes it calmed him. When she asked about him traveling down from the mountain he grinned. "I was actually doing some training."
Altair reached behind him and drew one sword from its back sheath since she was holding his other had and he couldn't bring himself to let go yet. "One of my beauties... high carbon steel katanas 'the greatest samurai sword'." He turned it from side to side it even gleamed against the camp fire's light. "I was training myself and I can finally cut through a tree in a single slice." Altair seemed to be going on a ramp so he just closed his mouth and decided to shut up. He didn't know if she was interested in weaponry or his skill for that matter.
He looked over his sword and admired how the silver blade glowed. "But I heard the cirque nearby and I just had to check it out. I heard it was filled with marvelous wonders." Altair looked over Bijou for an emphasis on his next few words. "I didn't know that they had obtained such an extraordinary and beautiful wonder within they're group. If I would have known you were here I would have come a lot earlier than now."

Bijou's eyes widened, "A whole tree? Really?" Mr.Tall had once said she had the mind of a child and a personality of an Elder. Bijou was known for finding wonder in the simplest of things and under standing the most complex theories. And the fact that one swing of a sword-a nice one at that-could truly sever an entire tree was astonishing to her. She went from pink to scarlett when Altair gave her the once over. "I'm more along the lines of the 'rescued pup' of the Cirque." Or at least that was how she viewed herself. Every since Mr.Tall found her last winter with no memories and burn marks up her arms, Bijou had made sure to help out around the Cirque when ever she could.

Altair was happy to hear her excitement about his abilities. Maybe she was a bit interested in him. So maybe her wasn't just ranting. He smiled and nodded to her. "It wasn't much really I still have a lot of training to go through. Even though I'm not an amateur I don't consider myself a master yet but everybody says that I am. It's like your barely touching on the surface of your power ya know. It's like there's so much more that you could obtain if you pushed further." He was sure she would understand with her power to read minds he was sure she knew she could get so much more out of her powers. If she kept on pushing she could probably intercept thoughts a lot easier.
Altair's smile got wider when she blushed from him looking her over. "Rescued pup? More like a marvelous poodle that was standing in its perfection but needed someone to lean on. Anyone would be lucky to even have you look at them but to have a full conversation is so much better." Altair was pretty lucky that he ran into her in the first place. She was extreme perfection he was tempted to have her for his own. But wait she could read his mind and that was a pretty bold thought he doubted she would miss that. Oh well he probably would have voiced it eventually.

She ran her pointer finger down the full edge of the blade, watching how it caught the light. "Ya, it's like baby steps. Every time you try you get a little bit closer to your goal." A goal was different for everyone, but it was usually mastering something. Altair wanted to become a master swordsmen while she just wanted every body to shut up. Sure, being a Telepath had its advantages, but it was still a two sided sword. If she tried hard enough, she could focus on one persons thoughts-as she was now, by holding his hand-but other wise Bijou was stuck with hearing just about everyones thought processes. It sounded like white noise and left her with a migraine at the end of the day. She grinned at him, giving his hand a playful squeeze. Bijou narrowed her eyes and said in a teasing tone, "Little cocky, aren't we?" Bijou giggled, she had to admit he was rather attractive, and he had a way with words.

He watched her run a finger up the blade. Such a soft hand actually touching something that could destroy men in seconds. When he really thought about it, it was like her touching him. He could destroy so many men within seconds but when she was even holding his hand he felt different. He felt more harmless than a house cat. She brought so much peace to his mind that all dark thoughts vanished. Well all of the ones that didn't involve him trying to seduce her.
"Hmph baby steps I feel like I need to take giant leaps." He turned back to her eyes and winked. He was giving a double mean to that sentence hoping she would catch what he meant. But if she was listening to what he was thinking, which he was hoping she wouldn't stop, then she would. He didn't mind her hearing what he had to think he was bold about what he thought and said it aloud anyways. Her hearing his thought process didn't bother him in the least.
Her grinning was a bit surprising. So she wasn't a shy type this made things 10 times as fun. He was searching for some competition it wasn't flirting without flirting back or at least some smart comments that had another meaning behind them. He squeezed her hand back and returned her glare by raising an eyebrow. "Cocky? Who me? Why would you think of me as such a person. I like to call it confidence that you know you can back up. I'm not all bark and no bite..." He leaned forward almost pressing their foreheads together. "At least not to hard."
He was pretty close to her. He could hear her breath he could hear her heart beat. He could feel her lips not to far away from his. They were right there so tempting. He wondered how they would feel how they would taste.

Bijou knew that by now the entire group by the camp fire was watching-and that Drake would be back soon, and she would be dead if he caught her with a vampire-but she didn't care. If she had it her way, she'd never have to move from that spot, never have to end that moment. But every moment had to end, but the Telepath was determined to make every moment count and last. "You don't say..." The words came out like a sigh. Bijou bit her lip, body heat radiated from Altair and made her want-so badly-to kiss him. His thoughts were the same but she couldn't draw up that last bit of courage to catch his lips with hers. No matter how badly she may have wanted to.
