Larten made his way to the Hall of Khledon Lurt. He could do with some batwing soup and things at Vampire Mountain were rather quiet. The vampire entered the hall and grabbed a bowl before taking it to a table and sitting down to eat. The warm soup seemed to warm his chilled body and Larten began thinking of nothing in particular. Stray memories popped into his head and then vanished like smoke. The vampire found himself barely eating and doing a lot of musing.
Madam Octa was back at the Cirque being cared for. His hair was a mess and Larten hadn't showered in awhile, but in the vampire world showers were luxuries, but Larten planned on a quick shower later if there was time. Larten then began wondering what he would do for the day. Maybe he could help with something. This was why Larten never stayed at the mountain. There was never anything to do and without the three day celebration the mountain would almost always be silent.

Eating had never been one of the Vampire Prince's favourite things to do. However, at the insistence of the others after admitting he wasn't sure of the last time he had done it, here he was on the way to the hall. At least he had managed to escape without anyone following him. As usual, and how he liked it, there were not many in the room. Once Mika had taken a bowl of soup for himself he sat down on the other side of a table occupied only by Larten Crepsley, a currently foul-smelling General who he didn't like much. As such he didn't grace the other vampire with a greeting. But then he hardly liked anyone. He looked Larten over with a raised eyebrow of some disdain before turning to give his soup an irritated swish.

Larten never really cared for Mika and the look he just received meant that Mika didn't really like him. Though Mika was a good Prince and he did his job well and took it very seriously... almost TOO seriously. Larten looked over at the Prince and said, "Good evening, Sire. How are you faring?" Just because he didn't like the other vampire didn't mean he should be rude. Besides Mika's rank demanded respect.
The orange haired vampire continued to slowly drink his soup while waiting for the other vampire's response. Rarely did they spend time together and Larten preferred it that way. He was a solitary being and had few friends, but his friends were true and loyal both to him and to the clan. One friend, whom he had cared for since he was a baby, was currently not there. The other, a former servant for Lady Evanna, was also no where to be found. Arra and Gavner were two of the best vampires he had ever known.... aside from Paris Skyle of course.

Mika took a small sip of his soup before slowly setting the bowl down and looking at the other vampire. Only now with the smell of Vampire Mountain's pathetic food around him was he starting to get a little hungry, but not enough to entirely feel like eating, and smelly one over there offset it. He could find no other outward fault with the General or his respectful enough manner, but that meant little. He would have said that he had been great until just now when he ran into him, except he was the one who had sat down at Larten's table and he really did not care right now. "Just fine, if you must know. And yourself?" Ha. The measure of sarcasm in that was left to the other vampire to interpret.
