this two-hundred and eighty year old Male Shape-Shifter stands at height of six two and weighs one-hundred and seventy five pounds. but he seems only twenty three, and, I've heard, looks just like Chad Michael Murray
he's the child of Kathryn Anna Breaker and Franklin Lee Breaker. He has no known brothers or sisters.
oh, and he fights for the Vampires.
the personality!

Matt is an unusual character. When someone first meets Matt he can seem stuck up or standoffish, but that is not who he truly is. He uses his cold exterior personality to hide his true emotions because he’s afraid of opening up to others. He feels that if he allows himself to have friends then they will be simply taken away from him. He rarely ever allows another to help him in any way, because he knows that he will get close to them then.
If you manage to overcome his self-made shell and get him to open up to you, you will find a caring, fun, and intelligent young man with witty humorous side. When he is around people he truly trusts, then Matt will often joke around with them; becoming the outgoing person he is on the inside.
Since Matt has very few friends, the ones that he does have are held close to his heart. He would do anything in his power to protect them, even if that meant giving up his own life. Once Matt has announced where his loyalties lie, he doesn’t easily change. It is because of the fact that he is a loyal individual that he dislikes people to betray the people they care about.
Matt holds in a lot of sorrow from his past, things that are the reasons that he chooses to avoid others. He feels alone a lot of the times and wishes that he could allow others to be part of his life.
Though Matt tries his hardest to be calm and collected most of the time, he can have a bit of a temper. This usually doesn’t show until someone decides to push him off of the edge. Usually this can be done by saying bad things about his parents, friends, and being arrogant about his past. During those times, Matt can have the tendency to act irrationally or without proper cause.
the history!
Matt was born in the year of 1717 to Franklin and Kathryn Breaker. A Romanian native, Matt learned much about the myths and legends that surrounded all sorts of mythical creatures. While his mother never believed the tall tales of Vampires, Werewolves, and the other mythical beings; Matt’s father did. He would tell Matt about all sorts of stories, things that he or other had experience and never had been able to explain. Matt would listen intently to the stories, always wondering if there were really such creatures like the ones his father spoke of.
After hearing some strange noises one stormy night, Matt walked out to the family’s barn and what he seen changed his life and what he thought of his father’s stories. There in the barn was his father and three other men and they were talking. At first Matt thought that his father was talking about the stories that he told, but soon realized that his father was not doing anything of the sorts. Of course he was discovered easily by his father’s unknown guests, which left Franklin with no choice but to tell his son the truth; that he helped Vampires. Franklin told Matt that he had found out the truths about the creatures such as Vampires long before he was born and that, ever since, he had made it his mission to aid them whenever he could.
Matt, like any five year old would be, was both frightened and fascinated with the reality that all of the stories he had been told were, if fact, real. After agreeing to his father and guests that he would never tell another person, Matt decided that he was going to follow in his father’s footsteps. He started helping out housing a wide assortment of Vampires, Freaks, and Werewolves; making sure that they had a proper place to stay and rest when they needed it. Franklin also spoke of the Vampaneze and how they treated humanity. Matt was appalled by what his father spoke of and agreed that it was good that they never allowed them near the house.
It wasn’t until Matt was seven that he hit the true turning point in his young life. Two new visitors came to the barn one night, looking for a dry place to stay. As Franklin gathered the items for their stay, Matt got a chance to talk with the unknown people. He found out that they were Shape-Shifters, but unlike the ones he had seen in the past; these two were different. Instead of shifting into a bird, horse, or wolf, these men shifted into an entirely different creature. They called themselves, ‘Pyro Shifters’ a type of Shape-Shifter that could turn themselves into a small dragon like creature without wings. Matt was intrigued with the concept they the spoke of and watched in amazement as one shifted for him to see.
Later that night, Matt awoke with a start when he heard a crashing sound in his parents’ room. He slowly made his way to room and was horrified to seen his parents bloodied corpses lying lifelessly on the floor of their room. A man stood over them, Blood trickling down his mouth. Matt knew what had happened; a Vampaneze had killed his parents. Matt had tried to run when the killer noticed him there, but he was simply too slow. The Vampaneze attacked Matt, leaving him to die alone, or he would have if fate hadn’t interfered.
The two guests that Matt and his father had put up in the barn, not hours ago, had heard the noise and went to investigate. They found Matt, near death, and decided to do the only thing that they could for him; turn him into one of them. That night Matt became a Shape-Shifter, a Pyro Shifter as they called it.
For the next four years after his parents’ tragic murder, he spent his time learning how to control his new powers from the ones who had saved his life that night. He learned how to keep his abilities in check around humans and what to do if they got out of control.
Tragedy struck Matt once again a few years later when his mentors were murdered in their sleep for helping the Vampires. The now fourteen year old was left in the world alone again, which he felt was for the best. He thought that if he were to get close to another person, that they would die like his parents and mentors did, so he simply did not want to risk it.
Matt lived his life from them on, in the shadows and away from everyone; which included human and nonhuman alike. If he decided to help someone, it was only from a distance; that way they never knew who it had been. On his twenty-third birthday Matt simply stopped ageing; which was a side effect of his inhuman form.
As the years and decades have gone by, Matt has seen the world change. He witnessed over the years that humans had forgot that mythical creatures, like himself, were real and now started to tell stories of them to simply scare and entertain their children. Seeing this as a sign, Matt finally decided that he had had enough lurking in the dark and felt it was time to try to start a new life. Though with no measurable education, money, or modern job skills; Matt’s new life has started out on rocky path.
the person!
[/blockquote]Okay, you all can call me Matt…I’ve rped both on and offline for nearly 12 years now. Got into the Darren Shan's Book series by watching Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant and like the series ever since. I am currently enrolled in college for my second year; so if I happen to not reply to a message right away it probably means I’m studying for a test or final. Everything else about me…well I’ll keep that to myself.
RP Example:
The air was cold and crisp as the sun started to set over the city, causing an eerie gloom to fall over the grubby alleyway. Rats scurried about from trash can to trash can, looking for their next meal. At the edge of the alley was a man. He appeared to be in his early twenties, though that was not true. The man clung to the side of the cardboard box that he was huddled inside of; desperately trying to keep any warmth that was still left in his body. The man, Matthew James Breaker, appeared to be the spitting image of a homeless Clad Michael Murray; well a ragged, malnourished, half dead version of him anyway. Matt smiled grimly at his thoughts. If only the humans really knew that the famous man really looked like Matt and not the other way around; they would be in for a big surprise.
He had been out of hiding for nearly three weeks now, hoping to start a new life. He had wanted to find a job and be able to live a somewhat human existence, but it seemed that that was impossible. With every job now days wanting a LEAST a high school diploma, he hadn’t found even a hard labor task to do. It wasn't as if he was an uneducated man, he had just never gone to high school. The schooling that he had attained had been from his parents and later his two mentors. He knew how to read, write, and to math very well; it came easy to him. That did not matter to the big and fancy employers; however, they wanted that stupid piece of paper showing that you graduated. ’Oh yes…I’m going to walk up to them and say…sorry but I was born in 1717…there was no such things as High School diplomas at that time…yeah right. They would place me in a Looney bin for sure.’ Matt thought as he chuckled to himself quietly.
A jagged cough erupted out of Matt’s sore throat. Even an un-ageing being, such as himself, could die from getting weak and sick, not that Matt really cared in the slightest. What did he have to live for? Was there something that he was meant to do in life? Yeah right. The only thing that he had ever done was hurt and let others down. It was what he was good at. The simple act of him being around others caused them to get hurt, so it was better that he just allowed himself to die; it would do the world a favor. Even as he thought that, a nagging feeling came into his mind. Maybe he wasn’t meant to harm others, but help. Maybe it wasn’t his fault that everyone he had ever cared about was cut down; like meat in a butcher’s shop. Matt slowly shook his head. He had always wanted to help others, but now he felt that he couldn’t. That he was unable to.
’It’s almost too late…if I stay the night out in this weather, I’ll probably die anyways. What is the use in fighting your own fate? Especially when you have nothing to fight for?’ He pondered his thoughts for a moment. When he had decided to come back into the world again, instead of living in the shadows, he had thought that it wouldn’t be hard to adapt to a modern life style. Now he realized that it was almost impossible. All Matt wanted was somewhere to belong. Somewhere that he could make a difference and start a new life for himself. Was that really too much to ask? ”If I could have one wish now…it would be.” He paused his quiet murmurings to himself as he gathered his thoughts. ”I would want to have a home…and friends…that is what I would wish for.” he finished quietly as he drifted off into a cold, shivering, sleep.
