the personality!

Cloe is a shy girl that prefers her own company to the company of others. She is very stubborn and will always go her own way, whether you want her to or not. When she gets comfortable around other people she is fun loving and carefree, becoming quite laid back as she becomes accustom to those around her. She loves nature and is disturbed by those who would destroy the natural beauties of the world.
There are times that people around her said that she has ‘a Spirit of a Mustang’ because like the wild horses; she cherishes freedom and refuses to bow to anyone. She would rather die than be forced to follow someone or something that she does not agree with. It is this headstrong, wild side, of her that often gets her butting heads with others; especially those who believe that they are better than her.
Cloe doesn’t feel that a person’s station in life defines who they are. Neither does she believe that just because someone is born different than other, that they should be shunned or admonished. She looks on the inside of people to see who they are as a person. Cloe does not like when others judge her improperly or feel that she is under them. She also thinks that respect is earned, not giving freely without due cause.
Cloe is loyal to her friends and those who she considers her family; doing everything she can to ensure their happiness and wellbeing. She puts other people’s needs above her own, even if it is a complete stranger.
Usually Cloe is not angered easily, but the one thing a person does not want to do is be around Cloe when she is. It is during times like that that Cloe’s fiery nature truly shows. The main reasons that Cloe can get angry is when someone threatens the people that she cares about and if the blatancy belittle her. When Cloe is angry she is the exact definition of ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.’
the history!
Cloe, or Cassandra as her birth name states, was born in 1612 to Anna Lovelette Asan and Vincent Lamar Asan. She lived a happy and carefree life until her mother got very sick. Though Cloe came from a wealthy family, it was still hard for the little girl to be around the house with the way her mother was. Her mother passes away a year later, leaving her father lonely and heart broken. Cloe and her father lived on their own for several years before he finally decided to remarry.
The woman that he married was a widow herself, with a boy about Cloe’s age. Cloe immediately detested the woman and boy, feeling as though she was being shunned for being in the family first. Her father did not notice the odd behavior and thought that everything was okay between his new wife, step-son, and daughter.
Having a large and impressive business, Cloe’s father had to spend much time at the factory making sure that everything ran smoothly. This left Cloe alone with her step-mother and step-brother a lot. Her step-brother always called her name and said that she was worthless, but her father never believed her. He thought that she was being silly or jealous of the boy.
When Cloe was nine years old her father had a terrible accident at his work. The Doctors stated that he was probably not going to make it a week and that they could do nothing for him. Distraught by the news, Cloe stayed by her father’s beside; not wanting to leave him for a second. It was then, surround by his family and friends, that her father announced who would be the one to take his place in the company; Cloe. This shocked everyone because woman usually never ran any sort of business; especially not one that large. Even while other questioned his decision, Vincent stuck to his guns. He stated that it would be run by a friend of his until Cloe turn nineteen, at which time she would take full control.
It was three days after the announcement that Vincent Lamar Asan passed away with young Cloe holding his hand as he died. It wasn’t until after the funeral that Cloe noticed a difference in the way that she was treated by step-brother. Instead of treating her as if she did not belong in the family; she was treated with kindness. This was a surprising, but welcoming, change. She started to get along with her brother, Marcus. She got to understand that he wasn’t a bad person, but he had just been upset about his mother being married.
Her life actually went smoothly for the next nine and a half years. During this time, she was talk the necessities to be able to run her father’s company. She also stopped referring to her Marcus as her ‘step’ brother because she felt as if he was truly her blood relation. The only thing that she was forced to deal with was her Step-mother. Ever since her father had announced all those years ago that Cloe was to be his successor, the woman had done everything in her power to make Cloe’s life miserable. It was only thanks to Marcus that Cloe was able to do many things like sleep in the house, eat with the family, or even go out for the day. He was like her protector from his mother’s wrath.
When Cloe was eighteen, six months away from being the full owner of her father’s company, something terrible happened. Marcus and her were ice skating on the newly formed Ice of the river by their house when suddenly the ice cracked and Marcus fell into the icy water. Cloe screamed and tried to pull the young man from the water, knowing that he could not swim. As Marcus fell under the surface, something snapped in Cloe; like a rubber band when it’s pulled too tight. Without thought or knowledge of what she was doing, she raised her hands up to her chest and then slammed her palms into the water’s surface. Like a geyser the water shot up into the air, leaving a dry spot where her brother had been on the river’s bottom. Cloe pulled him out and was relieved to find that he was okay.
Her relief vanished when several people around, including her step-mother, had seen the event and called her a witch for what she had done. Without being able to fully check to see if Marcus was okay, she was taken away in chains to be burned at the state for her witchcraft. That night, sitting alone in her cell, she heard a voice whisper to her from the other side of the cell door. She recognized it immediately. It was Marcus. Having stolen the guard’s key he unlocked the door and undid her chains.
He gave her a small bag filled with money, cloths, food, and other things that she needed; telling her to run or else she was going to be burned at the stake. After agreeing to run, Marcus hugged her and placed something into Cloe’s hand. It was a small gold locket. Inside was a picture of her father and him. He had planned on giving it to her when she took over the company. She hugged him, said that she would never forget him, and ran off into the night.
It wasn’t until two years later, off the coast of Ireland, that she had found people that knew of what she was; an Elemental. The elderly man said that she was someone that could create and control all of the elements. When he told her this she was shocked as well as awed. The elderly man also explained that from the date that Cloe found her powers, that she would no longer age because the earth elements is what keep her alive. Being an Elemental himself, he stated that he would teach her to control the elements. His training was hard, but she finally she was able to master them.
Once she had full control over the elements and herself, she left her old master in hopes to have a life where she was not considered evil. She has since wandered the globe help and protection others; while at the same time, trying to find a place that she feels comfortable in.

It was cold, cold and dark. There was no really light to speak of; not even the silver light of the moon shown in this desolate place. Cassandra shivered as she huddled around herself as much as the heavy chains allowed her. Her clothes ripped and tattered now from cruel treatment of those she had once called neighbors and friends. Her shoes had long since been taken from her as a sign of the heathen she was. But why was that? She had not done anything wrong. All she had done was save her dear step-brother’s life, so why was she being punished and treated like a dog? The nineteen year old shook her head. It was too late for such resenting words now; it was too late for anything now. She knew that tomorrow would be her burning; such was the customs for such behavior.
There was a light tap at the door, so light that she scarcely heard it at all. There it was again. Tap, tap, tap. It was as if someone was trying to contact her, but she knew that that would be false hope. No one wanted to be near her; let alone contact her. She was an abomination in their eyes. She hadn’t even had the chance to see if Marcus was okay or not because they had taken her away from him. A tear slipped down her pale cheek. ‘I’ll never see him again…’ she thought to herself.
Suddenly the door opened to reveal s tired Marcus. He was carrying a bag in one hand. “Marcus…what are you doing here? If the guards catch you-” Cassandra started as looked at him shocked. He rushed forward and placed his hand on her mouth to keep her from speaking.
“I’ll take my chances…we need to get you out, I shudder to think what will happen if we don’t” He stated as he unclasped the chains. As soon as the chains were free of her limps, he grabbed her into a hug. “Cassandra, my sister, without you I would not be alive. I don’t care what others say; to me…you are a hero. Now get dress and hurry. I have a horse waiting outside.” He said as he handed her some clothes. Cassandra dressed quickly and then stood.
Marcus handed her a leather bag. “It’s not much, but it is all I could get out of the house unnoticed.” he explained as he smiled sadly. She looked into the bag. Inside of the bag was some money, food, clothes, and a blanket.
“Thank you Marcus. It’s more than you should have.” She said as she hugged the young man. She knew what was coming up next, but she didn’t want to think about it. She felt the man wrap his arms around her in a protective hug.
“I wish I could go with you.” He stated softly.
Cassandra shook her head. “No. Someone had to run father’s company, Marcus. I’ll trust you’ll do that?” The man nodded solemnly as he looked at her; understanding her words.
“I know, Cassandra. By the way I do believe you’ll need to change your name.” He smiled at the last part. The girl thought for a moment before smiling.
”Okay, from now I am called…Cloe.” She said proudly as she smiled at her brother. Marcus smiled a bit and nodded.
“Okay, Miss Cloe Asan…lets get out of here.” He said as he grabbed her and rushed through the halls. Finally they came to the gate, where a white stallion was waiting. Cloe grabbed Marcus one more time, hugging him tightly. She knew that this was probably going to be the last time she seen him.
When Marcus pulled back he opened her gloved hand and placed a small object there. “Something to remember me by.” he said as he gestured to what was in her hand. When Cloe looked, she gasped. It was a small gold locket. She carefully opened in and seen a photograph of her father on one side and photograph of Marcus in the other. On the back of the locket if was an engraving saying ‘We will always love you.’ “I was going to give it to you when became the owner of the company…” he trailed off shrugging. Cassandra, now Cloe, nodded sadly.
She climbed onto the horse and looked down, tears filled her eyes. Good bye Marcus…take care of father’s legacy and yourself.” She said as she wiped her tears away.
Marcus nodded the sad smile never leaving his face. ”I will Cass-Cloe. Please take care of yourself as well…who knows? We might see each other again.” Cloe nodded as she spurred the horse on down the snowy road. What Cloe did not see as she rode off was the single tear trail coming down Marcus’s face.
