he's the child of lucinda lemiserie and henri lemiserie. he has one younger brother named victor.

Maureese is collected and serious. Some might even say sombre.. until they got to know him that is. Beneath his dark facade there is the lightness needed in the kind of person who frequently gets swept up and lost in his own thoughts. He could sit and read until he died of old age and never notice. He loves to read obscure things and fantasy. But at the same time, he is down-to-earth when confronted with the real world. He carries no delusions, except maybe those of pessimism. Maureese is loyal to the end to those he cares about, but has accepted that life sometimes takes them away.
As for his powers, he can influence people's emotions, use limited telekinesis, and whatever spells he can perform with supplies. While he could use them to do a lot of damage, his powers are reserved for his own benefit in small ways. He doesn't want to be noticed at all, and he certainly doesn't want to be sucked into the war. He's the type that just wants to hide in the background. However, if he must he'll of course side with the vampaneze because his best friend is one and he doesn't care for laws. People will always die before their time, and whether they're drained of blood or in a car crash, what does it matter.
Other things to know? Maureese is bisexual but has little experience with romance save for his girlfriend back home. Alcohol makes him sick and he doesn't drink because it reminds him of his father. He's going to age slower than a human but not live quite as long as a vampaneze or vampire. He'd like to get a cat sometime.
the history!
Maureese was born into a very wealthy family, who lived in a manor house in an English suburb. It wasn't long before he started to notice that he was.. different.. and could do some things that others couldn't. However, he didn't go about sharing this with people, especially not his father. His father wasn't exactly the nicest of men; he got drunk a lot, and was physically violent, but always reminded his son that he'd better be damn grateful for the luxury he had or he could be kicked to the streets. At least Henri wasn't ever around much, so it could have been much worse.
It wasn't long before he met Shendeth Fang, who lived a few streets away and went to the same school. The two became inseparable best friends. Shen even went along with Maureese's interest in magic, although he didn't know it to be true. Life went on, they got each other through. Maureese learned about magic and his gifts. Then his best mate disappeared- Maureese knew him to well to believe he was dead.
A year later, at the age of fifteen, he decided that, money or not, he was better off elsewhere and ran away. He spent a few weeks on the street, until he ran into Celeste, a girl of his previous social circle and around the same age. She took him to stay with her in the big house she lived in, alone, because her parents were always away.
Soon enough they were in love. In love eventually turned into making love, which turned into.. oops. Maureese was ready to be there for her the whole time, they were so young, but she was happy about it anyway. Unfortunately, her father, returning in spite of Maureese's tricks to keep people away, was not. Kicked out and threatened with all kinds of arrest and trouble, he hung around the streets long enough only to see the baby born safely. Then he did what he was forced to, even though it hurt, and left.
He boarded a ship, was caught and spent a few months as a sailor before getting off in France. A year or two passed before he decided he would never belong there and took a plane to America. Since then he's lived in hotels, using his vague mind control to get what he wanted, although what he wants isn't easy to say. The other day he found something interesting, a flyer for the Cirque du Freak..
