this vampaneze boy from london looks just twenty-two years young. however, he is actually fifty-seven and fights for the vampaneze! right now he lives at the cirque du freak
the looks!
Shendeth takes a lot of care and pride in his appearance. By no means does he fit the conventional definition of what a handsome guy should be like, but he is pretty damn gorgeous in his own way. Or at least he thinks so. Unfortunately he will never be taller than five foot six. He has a medium frame with some lean muscles and weighs about 120 pounds. However, the feature he cares most about is his hair. It's pure black, straight, grown out past his shoulders (and he has no intention of ever cutting it) and is nicer than that of plenty of girls. In fact he's been mistaken for one from far away, but doesn't care. Most days he also wears black eyeliner. His eyes are brilliant blood red, as are his nails; the only giveaways that he is vampaneze. He still has pale olive, slightly golden skin. As for facial features, he has high cheekbones and a slightly crooked nose. Shen likes to wear black or the occasional other dark colour; his favourite black tank top or a plain black vest over a white shirt and a black military trench coat in colder weather.

Shendeth is the person who, as soon as you think you're starting to understand him, will do something entirely unexpected. Unpredictable, dark, mysterious; why bother to be himself when it's far better to keep them guessing? One thing everyone seems to agree on though, often the first word used to describe him, is strange. Maybe he's just a creepy kid, or likes it that way, but it's said that there's definitely something off about him. Exactly what depends on the attention of the person doing the saying. His haughty manner of acting, the fact that he is more than capable of murder, or just his appearance.
Intelligent and cunning, Shendeth makes a good creature of the night for a reason. He can be sneaky and uses his intelligence and talents to his advantage regardless of the consequences to others. Killing humans gives him a savage pleasure, though he does not care about the war. People who don't know him well might describe him as insensitive; he has no problem with lying straight to your face if the need arises nor with telling things exactly as they are. On first impression he might seem a little cold and distant. He is a bit of a loner, but takes value in friendships. Although he wouldn't die for anyone once he is your friend he'll stay your friend. The same goes for enemies. He doesn't forget things. A bit selfish but never arrogant, he is usually quiet and good at keeping calm. And he never talks about his past. Secrets and lies, that's what he's all about.
Unless they do something to him, unlike some people he wouldn't bother to go out of his way to be mean to anyone. If one were to get to know him they might find that he is more caring than he seems. Shendeth does have a light side and likes to go out and laugh with his friends, wishing the world was a happier place. Inside fear can be his greatest weakness, but with the sinister and supernatural he is much more interested than wary. He is strong, independent and ambitious, but dark and sarcastic. He does what he wants whatever people think. If some people think he's a little insane, good for them. Although he holds on to friendships and wouldn't like it if there is a tempting reason to betray them that is worth it he would. Shen's first priority is always himself; he will do anything to survive.

He and his family lived comfortably on the outskirts of London; he had an older brother and sister, Nikolai and Anjalie, who he didn't get along with, Seraph, who he loved more than anything, and Dorian, who was kind of just there. Things weren't always so great within the family, however, and he was often picked on by his father, who suspected the truth that Shen wasn't his. He grew up learning to shut his parents out when they fought. Seraph disappeared when she was ten years old, never to be seen again. Then when Shen was fourteen, he met Charlotte. The most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. It turned out that she had a not-so secret; that she was a vampire. She was a young rogue who didn't care about keeping secret and leaving her victims healthy. Of course, he liked her even more for it.
As it turned out, the vampiress was being followed by an enemy vampaneze. It would soon come to a fight, before which Shen made a plan to trick the vampaneze into turning him and letting Charlotte get away. Both were badly injured, however, and that was the last time he ever saw her. Shen began a new life as a vampaneze apprentice for a while, but grew to dislike vampaneze customs. One day, he simply ran away. Afterwards he spent several years traveling alone. At one point he tried to settle down and live like a regular human. It worked for a time, at least until the police caught up with him. One daring escape from prison later, he was back on the run. It was then that he found the Cirque du Freak and stayed on. He doesn't have a circus act but helps in plenty of other ways, keeping quiet about the non-human part of him. When he has to feed he sneaks away on the last day the Cirque is in a particular town and drinks from some townsperson who won't be missed. He keeps to himself, and it's uncertain whether he'll stay there forever, but for now it will do just fine.
