While most vampaneze have purple skin and red eyes, Drake refuses to give up his 'good looks'. He wears colored contacts, dyes his hair, and has even gone as far as dying his own skin color in an effort to appear human. With broad shoulders and a charming smile Drake makes the perfect vampaneze. He has a lean, strong figure and eyes that bring fear into the hearts of men. He has an imposing figure and is rather tall.

Born a royal in England, Drake was a good friend to the king. But while on a trip to france, he met a vampaneze who offered him immortality. While waiting for his son to grow old enough to take his place, Drake remained at his place next to the king, as a half blood. When his son claimed his title as duke, Drake became a full blooded creature of the night.
Over the years he has run across only one person who's abilities as a 'freak' has interested him, in 1858 a man named Benjamin Wingly was a telepath. Soon after his death he went to find another with such ability. He knew to look for the mark of Eden, twin snakes on each arm.
He picked up on Bijou's slightly off scent when the cirque was in town and decided to join.

Drake climbed out of his coffin with a sigh. He walked over to the other side of the tent and put two fingers on the sleeping girls neck. A steady pulse, Bijou was sleeping peacefully. He smiled and pulled the blanket up over her a little tighter. Drake didn't know what it was about the girl, but he would die for her. He shook his head as he walked out, going to get a bite to eat. The vampaneze couldn't believe that the sleeping girl he had just left was a oracle.[/blockquote]
