Marina had left early in the morning, she needed a breather. It seemed like everyone was so close-knit at the Cirque, and she hadn't began to fit in yet. But she couldn't complain, with all that solitude she could think. Oh what am I thinking? That's never fun.[/b][/i] She thought to herself, tugging at an aquamarine lock of long wavy hair. She wondered why land walkers didn't have colors like that in their hair, only reds, yellows, and shades of brown. In her home place, some of the people had vibrant pink hair, some even had pink and green striped. She wouldn't come into her aquamarine hair until she reached 21. But for now she was perfectly content with her blonde an aquamarine hair, at least she felt some sort of belonging, although she knew she never truly would.
She sat down and placed her bag next to her. She ran her hands along the smooth grass and stared out at the lake, merely a few feet away from her. The surface looked smooth as glass. It was utterly irresistible. She unzipped her bag to check that she had dry clothes inside, and she did.
She pulled off her shirt to reveal her signature shell top, two blue and grey shells adorned with pearls and smooth balls of seaglass, and then seaweed, of course. She tugged at the long locks of hair and pulled off her shoes.
She took a few steps, her heart pounding. The lake looked so vast, she could simply feel the aquatic life pulsing in it's watery depths. A wide smile stretched across her face, but soon froze upon hearing someone nearby.
She hadn't really noticed the other girl out by the lake. She had only been back to this world for a few weeks and had reciently re-found the cirque. Mr. Tall had agreed to take her back under his care. Regardless, she never felt as though she belonged.
She hadn't bothered to take off any of her clothes. They where simple cotton today and would dry quickly. Before starting her run, she morphed her face into the demonic version and bolted toward the lake's surface.
The glassy surface was broken as she perfectly swan dove through the water. She had always been a good swimmer, but since her immortality, she had found that the staying under for long periods of time calmed her. And thats what she did now.
After a long dive to the lake floor, she settled down and just watched the water.
