The cold temple flooring, the grounds that were almost too fine for his humble feet to walk upon. It was all just a humbling experience. The god lived within the back of the temple, here they would keep it nice for Him when he decided to step out of his won quarters to take their humble sacrifices, we should all be so lucky. The faithful servant of the monster thought.
Misha walked along the hall where they would visit, in the weird Modern home it would be thought up as a church of some kind to worship and maybe be heard. But unlike them, their god lived within the confines of the holy sacrament. But this was even better! Their god was real not just some made up idea, he loved that about the temple, you could walk the halls made of marble only found in certain regions of the world, and pray to some one who would listen!
He knew soon there would be another sacrifice to this holy spirit, he wore his traditional clothes of his native home. He enjoyed it much more, jeans were harder to move in when he tried them on. Much harder, one could not jump freely with them on! Enough of the rantings of his idle mind, Misha sat down landing against a beam of the great temple, he shut his eyes slightly in his own form of prayer. He heard some one else within the temple, but did nothing. They probably were here to pray as well.
Exactly why Lithian was in the temple he couldn't say. Basically he just wandered in from outside. That was something he did a lot. The one thing that was for sure though was that he wasn't there to pray. Ha! In his mind he knew that the Grotesque was nothing more than a freaky oversized worm that could really do with being squished. And yet he was the crazy! The insane village idiot. How did that work out, one could only wonder. But it was true that he was.
He walked further into the marble hall with nothing on his mind at the moment. The temple was unlike anything anyone had ever seen, but it had to come from somewhere. Their ancestors must have built it and over time forgot how. It was only after a moment or two had gone by that Lithian spotted another member of the tribe leaning against a pillar. The young man's eyes were closed as though in deep thought or prayer. Hahaha! Perfect! He did have a reputation to live out after all.
"Hai!" he called out rather loudly, staggering over to him. Looking down he could not suppress a few snickers of insane glee. No, there was no reason for that whatsoever. All the more reason to be dubbed a nutter. But he still had a good mind. A mad genius, that was what he was!
Misha paused he made a slight face hearing the loud grading voice. He then made a slight groan he opened his eyes that was rude! He looked up at the dufus of a villager, he snorted he got up to his feet he asked, "What do you want?" the whole village looked down on him, and for good reason! He was insane, nothing more nothing less. He never made himself useful and would never ever find a real good purpose in this life!
"And quiet down!" he said in a hushed voice, tempted to slap him on the back of the head. "there's a thing called respect and you should at least Try to show it to our god. Or else." he didn't know what the or else meant. No one ever payed as much disrespect to their holy deity as Lithian did but he didn't want to know what would happen if his holiness's wrath was incurred!
A glare was now placed upon Misha's face, watching him giggle and laugh. "Leave." he said coldly not wanting to be in the abomination's presence any longer.
The other Kulashka's angry words probably had the opposite effect than intended, as Lithian certainly did not start looking serious at them. To the question of what he wanted.. "Nothing." he replied with a bit of a grin, licking his lips a few times as he had a habit of doing. He did not flinch at being told what to do. Maybe he'd show the monster respect when it did something worthwhile instead of eating people! It was more useless than he was.
"Oops." he said sarcastically pulling a serious face, then muttered under its breath, "Or else what?" It'll come out and squish me to death with all its fat? Ha!
It was not something meant to be answered because he knew it was impossible. Flawed. Different from the rest though he might be Lithian wasn't stupid however, and he could see the boy's anger, it just didn't bother and slightly amused him. He darted back a few steps, out of reach should the other act on that desire to hit him, and stuck his tongue out at Misha. Yeah, he was in fact twenty years old and not five. So what? He'd leave when he felt like it and not before.
Misha blinked his eyes narrowed slightly, was he that disrespectful?! He was a little younger then Lithian and yet he acted much older! "Shut up." he said coldly. He glanced around there was no one there ti listen nor care, it was just him and Lithian. He watched the village idiot stick his tongue out at him.
He shook his head slightly, then he walked through the marble halls. Stepping carefully and quiet as to not awaken the holy god that Ltihan should be punished by. But alas he wasn't going to punish himself. If Misha had been older he'd have given him a good whoopin' however that's now how it was done at all. Only if you proved your worth to the village and holy god, could you beat another for such disrespect dealt.
Ignore him, that was the only thing he could do. He stepped carefully down the marble steps, only a few feet but it kept dirt from entering the holy place. He walked continuing on his way. He would take a walk around the temple, clear his head THEN he would pray, hopefully the pest would be gone until then, he walked! But if he followed then he would probably get physical, he hated when people, especially those who shouldn't mock the holiest of religions!
Lithian sighed. Shutting. Though he hadn't actually said much. But it didn't make Misha any more right in his mind and he would always mentally hold the whole village with the same scorn some of the touchy ones like this kid showed to him. Someday he'd prove them wrong. Licking lips he glared after Misha's back as he turned away. Without much thought his feet carried him in the same direction, following the younger man like a gnat. He didn't want to talk to him any more than was vice versa, or start an argument, but there was nothing else to do. How much he had it in his abilities to bother people if he so chose usually didn't get to him.
Misha walked continuing his path he walked taking a jaunt around about. He then paused feeling followed, he glanced back behind him then gave a mental groan. Did he never leave him alone?! Apparently not! He ran his hand along his smooth pink hair and stopped, and waited to confront this insane man. He was planning to maybe find a portal later, go back to he 'modern' world for a little bit. Nothing needed to be done here and it seemed, he wasn't missed. It kinda made him sad.
But that was besides the point. Finally the young excuse for a kulashka came into view. He looked just the same, quite frankly, stupid. He never gathered, never hunted or helped build anything, just sat there laughing idly. He waited for a few more moments until he finally saw him, he snorted he folded his arms neatly. "leave me alone.". It was a plain and simple request, one he was sure he'd not follow!
Then he turned and began walking at a brisker pace, he could pray if he was being driven out by a maniac like Lithian. So he'd just visit the 'modern' world for a little bit. He grew to enjoy the food there. Always hot and always filled with different flavors, yum. Of course he had to find a portal first, he walked his feet now atop soft green grass, he was getting to the fields.
Needless to say he did not do as he was told. He sped up when the other did, keeping next to him and just slightly behind, though he had to run a little to keep up seeing as the other young man was much taller. "Why?" Lithian never did anything against Misha personally. Well Misha would probably say yes he annoyed him, but annoying people could be great fun when you were bored enough. And with the disregard others gave him he was bored often.
"Where are you going in such a rush, eh? Where do you go when you disappear?" Believe it or not he wasn't stupid and actually noticed. This was the one that went away sometimes. Lithian wanted to know where. It was a mystery, the answer to which must be something exciting! He could be on to something, and in spite of Misha's stubbornness it could be the thing that could prove the madman right, because he wasn't one really. Hahahaha! Go on thinking that.
Misha walked he then stopped glancing back he then groaned. "Because your annoying." he answered back plainly. It was a simple answer for a stupid question. He then turned to walk again then heard him talk, he actually observed things other than the clouds idly! Ha! he rolled his eyes and turned back to face him he stopped walking now he was tired of being harassed by the doup.
"I Away. I go away from you, so get lost." Misha gave him a glare. He wanted him to leave him alone and never come back. Go annoy some other poor soul, not him! he had stuff to do and places to be. Not really, he wasn't rushed but he still had someplace to be! There were nice parks on that other world, the grass was so green it was nice to walk on though there was nothing to hunt. But that wasn't the point.
"Now, go on, get." Misha waved his arm wanting him to leave.
Someone was so very open-minded and willing to give anyone a chance. Not. Unbothered by being called annoying, trust me it certainly wasn't the worst thing some of the ruder of them could come up with, Lithian continued to follow. He narrowed his eyes at the other Kulashka, stopping at the same time. Misha went away from Lithian. Really, he hadn't noticed. Thank you Captain Obvious.
Lithian crossed his arms and stared back up at the other, but unlike him wasn't as openly hostile. "Aw, but that's no answer." He didn't move, but stubbornly kept his feet firmly in place. This crazy wanted an answer and he was going to get it. Of course he could always follow Misha when he didn't know he was there; although he often acted clumsy that was just a trick to fool them. In reality he was able to be far from it. But why do that when they could talk face to face? It was definitely a lost cause, but because Lithian was annoying he was going to test Misha's patience to the absolute limit first. Just because he could.
Misha rolled his eyes he then answered, "And you wont get one. Now get lost, do something useful with yourself for the village." Then he turned back on his heels and began walking once again. Of course he would follow, he thought sarcastically. He could outrun him if he really had to... better then letting him follow him like a stray animal begging for food on the streets.
It was a tempting position, but the portal he sensed was too close now to simply run to it. Great, the portal was invisible but once you go through it, you know and then he stopped again, he glanced back at Lithian. "Ok, seriously now, go on, get ." he wasn't going to risk Lithian going through the portal. He didn't honestly care what Lithian did and if he fell through, he fell through, but then he didn't know of the repercussions of him coming back.
The deal was clear, he wasn't supposed to bring anything back with him, and vise versa or he'd loose something else. What else was there to evan loose? His family was gone now. And Mr. Tiny never mentioned anything about another person. Misha was no heartless Kulashka, evan when it came to the dunce he wished would leave him alone.
Lithian grinned at him. The secrecy and annoyance meant that it definitely was something worth knowing. Something worth following him to with or without his knowledge. As much as he didn't like people he was curious and had to know everything. The more someone didn't want him to the more interesting finding out would prove to be. "I am doing something useful. I'm sure the village would love to know too." Lithian didn't know what excuse he had given to the village since the others didn't question him, but he doubted it was the truth. If it was then he could always ask someone else, he couldn't look like any more of a fool in their eyes since he already did.
He was tempted to go along and 'get' as Misha worded it but as was predictable didn't. Not just yet anyway. He would have too much fun keeping the secret, or at least might depending on what it was and just how interesting it was in reality, but the other Kulashka didn't have to know that. He certainly doubted it was useful to the village, so he could have shouted hypocrite at him, do something useful yourself, but wait; he was such a bother that the lack of his presence was in fact useful to the village. At least it was in Lithian's opinion. Snicker snicker.
Misha rolled his eyes he spat back, "like anyone would listen to an excuse of a kulashka like you!" he watched him glaring. This was getting annoying and he had places he wanted to see today! Some sort of plant called a Zukini, come on, that's just a fun name! And there were sites to see, he didn't want Lithian to see. And there was just stuff to do in general.
"Seriously. I'm done playing games with you. Either tell me what I'm supposedly doing wrong, or just leave me alone. You'll find someone else to annoy!" some one who might put their hand to him. Misha thought, he would love to hit Lithian across the face for his blasphemy and annoyingness. He just didn't know when to stop playing around and follow orders. Orders or not he just wanted him to leave.
There was a bark in the distance, a dog as he came to understand the animal's sort of cry. It must have run through the portal unknowingly, the little beast was not evan the size of Misha's head! it was tiny and cute in some regards, in other it was just plain alien to the world he lived in. It looked a little like...
just running towards them, or just running in general.
Lithian rolled his eyes. "I'm not playing games, just talking to you, geeze." He grinned a little. "But I've already told you what you're doing wrong, haven't I? You're not answering my question. You have to tell me where you're going and then I'll go away. Or I'll go with you." It wasn't only until after he had finished saying this that he caught the strange sound and looked toward it, attention completely diverted.
It was an animal, it had to be, but small and very different from the kind of animals they saw around. It was an alien! And it probably had something to do with Misha. Something strange was going on here, something very strange indeed. But strange was Lithian's middle name. The thing didn't shock him as much as it would some others, but was still something of interest. He spared Misha a quick glance. "And what is that, eh?" Then he fixed his attention back on the creature. It was just plain unnatural and creepy. Squinting at it he took a step forward, and might have reached out to touch it, except he remembered that there was no telling if it was dangerous or not.
Misha groaned he had no more patience for this lunatic! He then glanced towards the sound, the short stumpy looking dog waddled towards them. It probably didn't have anything to waddle towards, he shook his head. "loong story." he explained curtly. He still did not trust, nor like Lithian and he wasn't one to quickly forget. He stepped towards the dog as it was called and crouched down. "come here, come here."
The thing waddled over and Misha managed to pick it up. The dog was a friendly one, it must have come from the dog park, one of them at least. He needed to take it back before the portal moved too far from it's owner. He pet the dog's head as it's tail wagged and tongue rolled out of his mouth. A happy dog grin on it's face. The portal would move soon, he concluded at this rate. That wasn't a good thing, it'd be lonely here. He should know, being stranded and all...
What the heck, he doubted Lithian would even be believed if he actually said it to their village. And even so, he probably wouldn't even believe him. "Fine. There's another world and a bunch of portals that open and close, I go through them to another world that looks much more different. Happy?" he pet the dog then glanced around he should probably take it back soon....
