Well, she was an unusual one, that was for sure. "Oh." Mika didn't know what to say or have much to say to that. The fact that she had not completely given up to vampaneze society explained why she was less hostile than he'd expected. At the beginning it was like that for everyone. He had ended up throwing himself into the vampire ways and becoming one of them only because he'd had nothing else. But it was pride that kept her apart and made her control how much she fed. He wondered if all women were that vain. If it had been the vampires that changed color over the years he didn't think he would have cared. Some people in the past had said he would've made a good vampaneze but he didn't think so. They were too lawless, existing just for the sake of it. Being a vampire had always suited him better. In a way he understood what she was saying.
She looked at him with a look of nothing, very blank. That was all he could say? Oh? Yet she had to admit, it was much better than hem ranting about her ways, telling her it wasn't the Vampaneze way. She had heard that many times, especially from her own kind, and that she didn't appreciate. The Vampaneze liked their independence, was she right? If they did, then why did they want to get onto her about being herself?
"Wait, so that's it? You're not going to ask why or anything?" She asked, she wouldn't mind laying it down flat for him, she had done that many times in the past, sometimes to get sympathy, and others just because she liked to hear herself talk about, well, herself. Either way, it just felt too eerie when things were quiet, especially around him.

Ask why? He never thought to ask why. What she said was explanation enough. Mika didn't find her ways to be a mystery to ask about. It seemed like she actually wanted to keep talking though. "Elaborate, then. I didn't feel the need to ask about something understandable." The explanation was just that she was different. The reasoning behind why wasn't hard to figure out.
Maybe it was because he was an outsider, not a fellow vampaneze. Her ways sounded better than their traditional ways did. It was harder to understand the usual ones because as a vampire he wasn't like that. Not that he ever tried. Mika was not an understanding or patient person. He generally didn't like the vampaneze, well he didn't like anything, but made no attempts to change that. Oh and he wasn't interested in the finer details either. But he wasn't going to talk about himself so she could go ahead and bore him if she liked.
Ophelia crossed her arms. The Vampire was so stubborn, and vague, and nonchalant. So many things that she wasn't. Although in a way she didn't mind, it just gave her a reason to be playfully angry with him. Sometimes that was a way she flirted with her prey, even though Mika wasn't actually her prey, just a Vampire passing through.
She stuck up her nose and made a pouty noise. "Hmph, well maybe I don't wanna tell you now." She thought that he wouldn't be the type to enjoy that very much, but she loved to watch people react to her, it was a very great form of entertainment.
She circled the man again before coming to stand by his side, glancing at him once before crossing her arms and behaving in a playful childlike angry manner.

It wasn't too hard to see that she was playing so he didn't get any more annoyed than he always was. At least he didn't think so. The vampire wasn't entirely sure what to make of her or how to react. "Then don't." he replied, half amused in spite of himself. Getting annoyed or looking at her with disgust might be a more typical reaction but he didn't care. It was something different.
Certainly she was very different from him. She could act or say whatever she liked and it didn't matter to him. There wasn't much he did care about. In any case he wasn't going to tell her what to do even with such a boring subject. "It's up to you." Mika did enough of telling people what to do back at the mountain. Just because he wasn't one to play along or didn't really know how didn't mean he had to be grumpy about it. Even so.. half-wanting to cross his own arms, he looked back at her.

Ophelia was starting to get frustrated. It was like she had to really work to get something out of him. She never had to do that, and she couldn't understand why he was so much more complicated than other men. But she did love a challenge, and wasn't about to give up.
"No." She said in a huffed chirp. Ophelia was able to tell that he didn't seem amused, or even interested in her story. "Maybe another time, save it for a rainy night." She added in a giggle. She flipped her dark hair over her shoulder and resumed the crossed-arm stance. Why couldn't she get under his skin? She guessed she just had to try harder, and maybe she'll get something from him. At least she hoped so.

Well that was fine with him even if he was a little more amused than he acted. "Alright, then. So what are you wanting to do?" She had said she wasn't going away. Mika wasn't one for long and unnecessary talks so if she had a point they might as well get to it. And if not, which seemed just as likely if not more, well it was still all her doing. Go ahead. Try me. He looked at her and waited. Maybe he'd be up for more than one would assume.
