HAIR:[/color] Being biracial, Jazz has a mixture of the "oily" hair of Caucasians, and the dry, brittle hair of an African American woman. Her hair is dark brown in color, almost black, and normally always curled, an effect that is very natural. It is generally soft, but can sometimes become a little brittle if she doesn't pay attention to it.

FULL DESCRIPTION:[/color] Jasmine is actually a really pretty woman - if she keeps her scars covered. Her skin is a lovely light mocha color, the result of her biracial blood. Her hair is a mix of white and black, causing her to have hair that's more "oily" than normal, and therefore easier to deal with - and softer, too. Her eyes are soft and round, with light brown irises, and always sparkle when she smiles.

Despite being a Prince, she is actually really petite, only about five foot one in height and a hundred and ten pounds in weight. She is stronger than she looks, however, due to the vampire strength that came with being changed. Her features, overall, however, are very delicate. That does not include the scars that litter her body, results of both whippings and the fights that she has gotten into over the years. She tends to keep those covered, however, to give the appearance that she has won all of the fights she has ever been in.

PERSONALITY:[/color] Jazz acts much younger than her age would lead people to believe. Instead of being a grumpy old coot, she is a sweet, gentle thing who prefers to show mercy and kindness over ruthlessness. She is fair, as a Prince should be, but does follow the law when it comes to the punishments for rogues. If your crimes warrant death, than it is death you shall receive, she believes. 

However, Jazz is an old vampire; she has seen the best in people, but she has also seen the worst. While she knows that second chances are a blessing, she knows that giving them to the wrong person can turn into the worst mistake. She is very hesitant with trusting people because of this and, as such, has come to testing the blood of most those she meets. It's how she knows if she can tell Zander to stand down or not.

HISTORY:[/color] 
Jasmine was born the slave of Joseph Killicks, a European trader, and Marian, one of his other slaves. Surprised to know that the child born to Marian, who already had two children, sired by her husband, Joseph decided to sell the little girl as soon as she was old enough. At the age of six months, Jasmine was sold to a trader, who gave her to one of his friends as a peace offering. The first couple of years were not bad, as she was only a child, but, by the time she was eight, Jasmine was expected to do all the things a woman should. 

She hauled wood, cooked, tended to the animals and even made sure that the other slaves were locked in for the night, as Jazz was a house-slave. For the most part, Jasmine did a good job; she never went to bed unless all her chores were done, and sometimes skipped dinner if she had to. But there were a few times when her master would pick out one or two things she did wrong and beat her for it. These abuses have long since left their scars on her body. 

When Jasmine was twelve years old, she was out running errands for her Master and came across a half-dead gentleman lying on the road. Concerned, she managed, after about ten minutes of tugging, to get him into the shade. She had just managed to find her canteen when his eyes fluttered open. There was a sickly sweet smell, and then the young girl blacked out. She woke up that night, in her bed, with her Master waiting in the doorway. 

But that wasn't the last time she saw the man. 

About a week later, after a particularly bad beating, instinct got the better of the young girl and, in the middle of her master raising his hand, Jasmine took off. Her little legs took her only halfway down the road when he caught up with her, but this time he wasn't alone. The man appeared, wrenched Jasmine from his grasp, and protected the girl. Once her master had limped away, the man, who she learned was named Matthew Reynolds, offered her the strength to protect herself. 

And so the little girl became a half-vampire. 

She travelled around with him for about a hundred years, much longer than most apprentices. This was because, during their travels, Matthew realized that the young girl aged at about half the rate of a normal vampire, and did not want to leave a sixteen year old out on her own. That, and the two had developed a very father-daughter-like bond, and he was almost unwilling to part with her. 

But, around the early 1700's, Matthew and Jasmine finally did part; Matthew stayed in Europe, and Jasmine headed to America. Before she left, however, she took his last name as her own, completing their family circle. 

Jasmine wandered around America, alone, until the 1770's, when the America Revolution broke out. It was then that Jasmine met William, an African American slave who was fighting with his master in the war. She played the part of his nurse, watching over him and protecting him when he needed it. Then, after the war, she gave him the same choice Matthew gave her. 

He's been with her ever since. Even though he has long since become a vampire, and changed his name, "Zander" refuses to leave her side. He even went with her to Vampire Mountain and stood proudly by her side when she became a Prince. Jasmine honestly has no idea where she'd be without him, as he's become her constant companion.
