“Fallen angel with shattered dreams. Trying to make some sense of all you've seen. Let it go.”
NAME: Tori Ashwood
APPARENT AGE: 19
REAL AGE: 19
GENDER: Female
SEXUALITY: Hetrosexual
RACE: Freak (as she calls herself)
SIDE: Circus
CANON OR ORIGINAL: Original
i'm creeping my way out

so you can see me
HAIR: Due to abuses brought on by her father, Tori keeps her black hair cut short, close to her head, so that no one can grab hold of it or use it against her ever again.
EYES: Green and wide, Tori has very innocent looking eyes, though a few people have commented that there is always a "spooked" look in her eyes.
HEIGHT: Five foot even
BUILD: Thin, almost unhealthy
DISTINGUISHED BY: Tori has large, wide green eyes that make her appear more childlike than she truly is. Oh, and she has wings, too.
PREFERRED PLAYBY: Yulia Volkova
FULL DESCRIPTION: Short and thin, Tori looks the part of the unhealthy teenager, even if she really isn't. She is only five feet tall, a relatively short height for a woman, and has a body weight of about ten pounds belowed desirable, though this is because she does not eat often and her work often causes her to burn more calories than she intakes. She tends to wear clothes that covers her body, in an effort to not show any skin, or even her wings, though she can - more often than not - be seen barefoot.
Her facial features are probably the prettiest thing about Tori. She has a round, gentle face, complete with wide, green eyes and soft eyelashes. Her hair is cut short, so that it frames her face, and is also harder to grab. She doesn't want anyone to use her body against her, and that includes her hair.
i'm crawling my way
round a thousand cities
round a thousand cities
PERSONALITY: Quiet and submissive are probably the two best words to describe Victoria. Due to her past and the violence inflicted upon her by her father, Tori is quick to do as she's told. She won't argue when a supervisor gives her an order, even if she isn't quite sure she can fulfill the job. She is very wary, often flinching when someone raises their hand or their voice.
Another word would be "gentle." Tori is a very kind, sweet person who abhors violence and would rather avoid it. She tries to calm a fight before they can start, especially if those involved are people she cares about. She speaks rather softly, and rarely tries to make eye contact. She's also picky about being touched, and distrusts men - and people in general - for the crimes committed against her.[\color]
GOALS:
- To stay free
- To be safe
- To have/adopt a child
- To settle down someplace safe
FEARS:
Tori is truly afraid of her father or husband finding her again, and that is why she often refuses to perform. She does not want her face or name out anywhere beyond the people in the Circus, and so chooses to do background jobs. She also flinches from the idea of someone treating her as Richard and Logan once did, and so she refuses to be open with anyone.

TITLE: N/A
JOB: Circus Roustabout, Occasional Performer
DATE OF CHANGE: N/A
ABILITIES: Tori has a pair of brown, white-dotted bird's wings attached to her shoulder blades. These allow her to fly, though she often refuses to due to her hatred of what she is, but has been known to show them off for the crowd. Her "true" talent, however, is healing; Tori has the ability to heal wounds with a touch, though the amount of healing accomplished depends on the size of the wound and how long she has her hands on the person's wound.
i'm living my life in this hell
COMMON KNOWLEDGE:
Very flinchy and timid, cautious to a fault, Tori is not a soul to trust easily. She is shy and quiet, always keeping her head down and never meeting anyone's eyes; she speaks in soft, quiet tones and is never one to draw any attention to herself. Is also very apologetic and will say "sorry" for anything, even if it's not her fault.
SECRETS:Tori is a victim of both parental and spousal abuse. She is also still married to her husband, though she never brings him up in conversation, and bears the scars on her back, around the roots of her wings, where both men had their go at her wings.
HABITS:None really, unless you count the constantly flinching she does from every hand movement.
STRENGTHS:Good with animals, very good with children, and even tempered, Tori is a gentle soul. She is very good at keeping things calm, though she has been known to run whenever things get out of hand.
WEAKNESSES:She distrusts a lot of people, practically everyone, and never speaks up for herself. She will say something if someone else is getting hurt or bullied, but even then it's a timid little squeak, like a mouse.

PARENTS: Marquerette and Richard Ashwood
SIBLINGS: Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine and Jackson
RELATIONSHIPS: Logan Jameson, husband (separated)
HISTORY: Victoria was born into an abusive household in the middle of Sun, Lousiana. The youngest of four siblings, Victoria grew up watching her sisters an mother being knocked around. Up until she was six, Victoria was only locked in the closets (sometimes for hours) as punishments. After that, her father decided she was hold enough to handle his fists.
Victoria's mother was always a sickly woman, and became even moreso when Tori came around. When her husband started beating on them, she didn't bother attempting to stop him. He already had her brainwashed to believe that he was a very saintly man and that this was the only way to clease his daughters. Before too long, his son joined in.
When her sisters were old enough, Mary and Catherine were both married off, escaping their father and, hopefully, starting better lives. Elizabeth ran. Jackson stayed around, taking "lessons" from his father on how to keep women in line, and remind them of their place. For years, her father enforced the values his father had taught him when it came to God and the laws and fall of Man.
When Tori was around the age of twelve, she started to experience back problems. It wasn't until the actual birth of her wings, a process that was very painful and bloody, that Tori understood why. Though she wanted to hide the new appendages from her father, her brother was quick to tell of the screams he had heard the previous night. Richard investigated, and found his daughter was now "cursed."
He tried to remove the wings, but to no avail. Every wound he created just healed right back up, and Richard was forced to find someone who would take his daughter. It took a few years, until Victoria was sixteen, for him to find a "suitable" husband for her. She was married to Logan Jameson just before her seventeen birthday, but found that life with him was almost as bad as life with her father.
She quickly found out why he had picked Logan.
She speak two and a half years married to him, until the circus came to their small-town. Intrigued, Victoria lied - for the first time - to her husband, and snuck off to see it. Victoria quickly fell in love with those inside the circus, and wished that she could be like them. Not because they were "living the life," but because they did not appear to be afraid of what they were; they did not hate what they were.
When she was on her way back to the car, one of the circus performers came over to her and started to sniff. With a soft noise, he tugged at her jacket. He continued to do so until finally, out of fear, Tori revealed the wings on her back. It did not take long for Mr. Tall to find out, and she was asked into a meeting with him.
That was one week ago. Tori has been a part of the circus ever since, leaving the life she knew behind with a prayer that she would never see it again.

RP SAMPLE: Tori was terrified.
She was in an alleyway behind a laundromat, her body curled protectively around a straw basket. Inside, two as equally terrified babies whimpered, their wide eyes staring up at her, begging her for some sort of comfort. But all she could do was stroke their forehead and hum low in her throat. She could not whisper or sing to them, for fear of both hurting them and getting caught.
She knew they couldn't be far away, the men that had kidnapped her and the children. She had only escaped them a few hours ago, she and the children she tried to quiet. They had been prisoners, up to a few hours ago. They had been experiments. The men had taken great delight in changing her and the children from humans into... into hybrid-like monsters. The animal of choice for the babies was skunk.
Hers was a woodpecker.
That was why she was gagged. The cloth, the ripped bottom of her shirt, wrapped around her mouth was her own doing, the result of her fears of hurting the child. You see, the men hadn't just changed her appearance, no. They weren't happy with just making her a bird, complete with wings and claws. No, they wanted to mutilate her vocal chords as well.
Now, she could easily hurt someone. And Tori did not want to hurt the children.
She wanted Fox. She hadn't seen Fox since she had been kidnapped from work all those weeks ago. She needed him. He would protect the children... Even if he didn't want her anymore - not that she would blame him - he would still protect the children. That was just who he was. He would protect the innocent.
She wanted Fox. [/blockquote]
