so you can see me
HAIR: A nice chestnut brown with a soft curl/wave (usually somewhere in the middle) stopping a little bit below her shoulders

HEIGHT: 5'5" (anywhere from 5'7"-5'9" in her heels)
BUILD: Average, but on the slimmer side
DISTINGUISHED BY: The small, white scars on each of her fingertips from turning; her perfume (lavender, a bit dabbed behind her ears, at her wrists, and between her breasts); and her sweet, infectious laugh
PREFERRED PLAYBY: Mandy Moore
FULL DESCRIPTION: Cassie's number one rule is simply this: Don't stand out. Blend in, be able to be lost in a crowd. And because of this oh so important rule, she's survived. Because of this, her appearance is average. Average height (about 5'5" barefoot). Average hair length (just below her shoulders). To even average clothing (though, let's face it, she does dress on the more trendy side).
In truth, Cassie is a lovely creature. Her hair's a chestnut brown, though it often looks more like chocolate in the night under the moon. It's not completely flat, usually hovering somewhere between large curls and waves. She takes a great deal of care of it and because of that, her hair is always luminous and shiny. She parts it to the left, having side swept bangs that never hang over her eyes (if they do, she's annoyed to no end by it). Her eyes are a lovely cobalt blue, like the sea on a calm day. She's one of the lucky ones, her lashes long and a deep black, framing her eyes nicely. Ever one to wear makeup, Cassie always has a bit of eyeliner on. She can go anywhere from soft and subtle to a much more bold style. But, being the daughter of a makeup artist, she always looks tasteful in the way she applies her make up. Cassie has nice, high cheekbones and a natural soft blush to her, though it tends to diminish if she skips too many meals. Her lips are a soft pink color; full, kissable, and always seem to be turned up in a sweet, ghost of a smile.
Cassie stands around 5'5" barefoot. Her skin has a bit of a tan to it, but not a immediately detected one. As far as her body type goes, she's about average, though on the more slimmer side. She's (mostly) good at working out, usually going to an all-night gym every once in the while or simply jogging around her neighborhood. As far as food goes though, she does try to eat healthy but thanks to deadlines, her daily diet usually consists of take-out or things that could be zapped in the microwave. Her body is curvy, not overly so, but not stick-straight either. Thanks to her mentor's training (read: kick her butt until she learns to defend herself and do some kick-butting back) she's more toned then more girls her age, though she wouldn't by any means admit to having an athletic body.
From an early age, Cassie's loved clothes. Besides her art and writing, her shoes and clothes were the things she cherished most deeply. And since becoming a vampire, her love hasn't diminished (one of the things making her and Mara best friends). While still dressing more casual on most days, Cassie always incorporates her style and love of fashion. She has an extensive number of shoes (most of them heels) and far too many clothes a human (or supernatural creature) should own.

PERSONALITY: The best word to describe Cassie is vibrant. She's a very happy, exuberant, outgoing person. She loves to laugh, to smile, and to enjoy life. Cassie is friendly and talkative and never shy. CaShe's fun loving, witty, sarcastic, and one of those people that can make friends easily.
Above everything, Cassie is loyal. Once her trust is earned, she'll be by your side forever. But by no means is it easy to earn her trust. She's not nessisarily guarded, but careful. She's seen what people can do to each other and she has no want of that. As far as Cassie is concerned, drama should exsist only in books. She's fiercely protective of her friends and before her turning, she was often seen as a mothering type.
Cassie is curious to a point of maddness. She loves knowing how things work and why people do the things they do. Her favorite question is of course: why? Her curiousity has often gotten her into trouble and often drove Alex insane trying to get her out of it.

JOB/TITLE: Author
BIRTHPLACE: Fetcham, Surry
DATE OF CHANGE: Nine years ago
ABILITIES: Aside from her (superly awesome) vampire ones, Cassie has very, very, veeeeeeeeeeeeery minor psychic abilities. hardly anything special and not something she thinks about. It's more like she gets these vibes, ones that focus more on the bad stuff. She has no idea what, just that something bad is about to happen/happening near by. They aren't pleasant either. She gets a lump in her throat like she's about to start sobbing while her stomach feels like someone's twisting her guts around.
i'm living my life in this hell
COMMON KNOWLEDGE:
Cassie's ones to play things a lot closer to the vest. She doesn't mind letting other vamps know where she is or her job, but that's about it.
SECRETS:A lot isn't known about Cassie Gray. Like, for example, how her mentor Alex isn't exactly MIA, but dead. Or how he kinda turned her from normal teen to butt-kicking super chic (to use Mara's term). And finally, no one and absolutely no one, not Mara, not even her mentor, knows that she's still in contact with her little sister Poppy.
INVENTORY:The one thing she kept from her old life was a gift from her mum and dad on her 18th birthday. It's a simply, but beautiful silver charm bracelet. With about only about ten charms, it doesn't make much noise when she moves (the only reason Alex let her continue to wear it). She wears it on her left wrist an no matter what she's doing, where she's going, or what she's wearing, it's always on her wrist.
STRENGTHS:
- Hand-to-hand combat
- Fencing (particularly Foil and Rapier)
- Art (particularly sewing, graphite drawing, and painting)
- Tennis

PARENTS: Diana and Richard Blake
SIBLINGS: Poppy Blake
RELATIONSHIPS: None at the moment, though she's looking
OTHERS:
- Mara Williams: A 100-something old vamp who's become Cassie's closest friend (and publisher). She's an ex-model and current CEO of Williams Books. She was Alex's on-again off-again "lova" ("So basically 'lover' with an 'a' instead of an 'er'?" "Yes. It's much more fun and fling-worthy that way!") for a couple of years and it was through him that her and Cassie met (much to his displeasure). She's wild, outgoing, and the most savage business manager Cassie's ever known.
- Alex Gray: Officially MIA, unofficially dead. He was Cassie's sire and mentor until he died a year and a half ago in a battle against the vampaneze. He lived for about 150 years, fully turning Cassie about nine years ago. He's paranoid, bossy, grumpy, cheep, intolerable, and an ex-assassin
HISTORY: Cassie was born the first daughter to Diana and Richard Blake in Fetchem, Surry, England. Her childhood was normal, hardly anything exciting or note worthy. Her father was a psychology professor at the local school and her mother a hair dresser and make up artist at a salon in London. Cassie's family was well of, not poor, not rich, directly middle class. She went to the local primary school and later on, to an all girls boarding school in Mayfeild called Convent of the Holy Child Jesus. Cassie never really had trouble making friends. She wasn't popular, but she was well liked. She was on the track and tennis teams, she got pretty good grades, had a few boyfriends and was quite content and happy with her life.
When Cassie was 14, her little sister, Poppy, was born. If there was any worry that they'd be any sibling rivalry between the two, it was quickly diminished. Cassie adored her little sister, coming home almost every weekend to look after her. As the two grew, this didn't change. Poppy would follow her around, try to imitate her, and basicly be just like her big sister. And in return, Cassie adored the little girl. She didn't know it then, but it would be Poppy who caused her to turn.
When Cassie was 20, Poppy was marked by a vampaneze. It was any ordinary day. Cassie had taken a break from her studies and took her six year old sister to the park. It was then she noticed the three scratches on her cheek. Cassie thought nothing of it, until a stranger came up to her. His name was Alexander Gray, and he was a vampire. It was he who told her about vampires and the vampaneze, and he who offered to protect her sister on one condition: she became his assistant. Looking back, Cassie still isn't sure why she believed him, she just did. They waited, watching and when the vampaneze showed, Alex made quick work of it. She was blooded that night.
Two days later, the two of them staged her drowning. According the reports, her body was never recovered. They left England after that, going to France for a while. Cassie quickly learned that Alex wasn't the romantic-style vampires she's read about, but rather a slightly insane, narcissistic, paranoid, interorable ex-assassin And he was determined to kick her into shape. Days, night, whenever he felt like it, Alex would attack her, expecting her to defend herself and fight back. Cassie was a fast learner, she had to be. In time he taught her how to fight hand to hand, how to shoot both a gun and a crossbow, and how to fence.
It was while they were in Italy that Cassie met Mara, Alex's on-again off-again lover of the past 50 years. The girl's became close friends, much to Alex's displeasure. It was also at this time that Mara read the novel Cassie had written. Six months later, Cassie's book graced the shelve, with a different pen name of course. Mara left for America, leaving the two of them alone once more.
Cassie had gotten used to the ill-tempered vampire, and he to her. After a while, his death threats started to loose their venom until they became more of friendly banter between the two. Cassie continued to write, her books earning most of their income. Life was good, but just like before, Cassie had no way of predicting the sudden turn her life would take.
They were attacked out of the blue one night by a few vampaneze. the two fought the best they could, but they were out numbered. In desperation, Alex told her to run and not look back. She didn't listen. It was only when Alex pushed her into one of the canals that she stopped fighting the vampaneze and started fighting her way back. But it only took seconds for the vampaneze to finally kill Alex. It only took seconds for them to leave. And it took too many seconds for her to get back and find him there, only a few breaths left in his body.
"Burn my body.........don't......don't let them know I'm gone...."
There was no funeral, no mourners save for one. All that was left of Alex was a pile of ash blown into the canal.
Cassie moved to America after that, finding an apartment in the same town Mara lived. She continued to write and publish books. She lived her life. If anyone asked her about Alex, she'd simply tell them that one day she woke up and he was gone and that she hadn't heard from him since.

EXPERIENCE: Dear lord, I've been on these RP sites since I was about 13 or so and was on/off them for abooooooout 4 or five years? I've taken about 2 years off since then tough (wow it's been a while) and am joining up again here. So yeah, overly long explanation is about 4 or 5 years worth.
OTHER CHARACTERS: Nada
TIME ZONE: Oh boy, I think I'm about two hours behind you lot? Given the time on the c-box that is.
RP SAMPLE: Night had fallen; a blanket of the deepest black covering the small town and the snowy mountains that surrounded it. The crescent moon was a tiny sliver in the sky, disappearing behind the large clouds that lay across the horizon. All was quiet in the large castle, the fortress of the newly forming Eyrie. Lights were scarce throughout the rooms, most of the residents asleep in their beds. Yet not all was right, not all was pleasant. The Archaengel tossed and turned, nightmares plaguing the sleep that blessed the rest of the beloved flock.
Fear...Pain...
She was haunted, tormented. Blood filled her dreams, fire coursed in her veins The knife swung down...
And she awoke, a scream she did not recognize erupting from her lungs. She stared up at the ceiling, panting hard. A fine sheen of sweat covered her forehead. Her lungs burned, sore from the screams that she always awoke to. Nothing quelled the dreams, nothing stopped them anymore. She sat up, the sheets untangling as they fell from her curvy frame Her head and her heart pounded, adrenaline coursing through her. Her hands shook as she raised them, brushing the silver hair from her face.
“By the Gods.....”she whispered, her voice small and choked Her golden gaze turned, sweeping from her dark room to peer out at the night sky. A gentle wind blew through her large window, sheer white curtains moving lazily. The moon, such a sad sight compared to the two lovely ones from her home, sat in the sky. It was the perfect view, a gift from Him. She tore her gaze away, slipping from the sheets of the large bed. The woman shivered as her feet touched the cold, hard wooden floor. She was unused to things being colder than her skin, though she quite liked it. It reminded her that she was alive, that the nightmares were simply memories, months old by this time. Not a mark remained on her perfect skin. No evidence of her abuse save for her haunted mind.
“Water....I need some water...” she mumbled to no one but herself, pulling on her soft robe. As much as she enjoyed the silk nightgown she wore, it was far from modest. Where before she would have enjoyed the looks from the Fledglings that also found themselves up at that time, she no longer did. Now the only gaze she longed for was His. The only touch she yearned for was from Him. And yet, she received nothing. Not even a glance, not even a motion to suggest he acknowledged she was there. They were so close, only a few doors away, and yet they were separated by lifetimes. One that he refused to connect again.
With a sigh, she left her room. Snores from a certain hulking man greeted her, as did the sounds of other Aengels, fast asleep. Where normally she would have peeked in, checking on each of them, she continued down the hall with out detour The vampyress's steps were quiet, not a sound coming from her. She moved like a ghost, a mere shadow of herself. Then, suddenly as if it appeared out of thin air, there was His room. Not a sound came from it, not a snore or even the rustle of a man in bed. Nothing. Was he even in there? She didn't know. Shaking her head, she continued on, down the cold stone steps into the kitchen. It was dark, but she could see well enough. Her vampiric abilities granted her that much at least. But now, with the memories and nightmares clinging to her like a second skin, she didn't want the dark. She wanted light, even if it was harsh florescent light. She flicked on the switch, blinded for a second. Her eyes adjusted and she made her way to the sink. She grabbed a cup, filling it with water and drinking it quickly. Twice more she repeated this until finally the fire in her throat was gone and her body felt cold once again.
“Get it together Calissa...” she whispered, squeezing her eyes shut. What good would crying do? What good would talking about it do? She would only be kicked out, pushed away into the cold as penance for her weakness. A small, humorless chuckle escaped her lips as she found herself slumping into one of the chairs. Her head rested in her hands; elbows blanched on her knees. Maybe that is where I belong...
“What were you screaming about?”
